FS-B-D Series overview
With its exceptional versatility, the FS-B-D Series Proximity Switch (5/8" UNF Thread) is suitable for a variety of applications in CI I, Div 1, Grps A-D, CI II, Div 1 Grps E-G, CI,III. With its advanced magnetic technology, it detects ferrous materials up to 2.3mm (0.09") away including carbon steel and stainless steel (17/4 or 400 series).
It comes with volt-free DPCO Contacts (Double Pole Changeover) or DPDT Contacts (Double Pole Double Throw) as standard, enabling enhanced system integration flexibility.
FS-B-D Series are covered by the following hazardous area certifications.

For use in safety-related systems, the FS-B-D series proximity switches are designed to meet the rigorous requirements of IEC 61508:2010 Routes 1H & 1S with Systematic Capability (SC3). These devices are capable of performing safety functions up to and including SIL 2 with HFT=0 (1oo1) configurations and SIL 3 with HFT=1 (1oo2) configurations, making them an excellent choice for safety-critical applications.
