FS-N Series overview
The FS-N Series Proximity Switch (3/8""" UNF Thread) is highly versatile and can be used for line fault monitoring in applications that need NO (Normally Open Contacts) or NC (Normally Closed Contacts).
Using proven magnetic technology, they can sense ferrous materials such as carbon steel or stainless steel (17/4 or 400 series) at up to 1.0mm (0.039""""). A volt free SPCO/SPDT (Form C) contact is included as standard.

In addition to meeting the requirements of IEC 61508:2010 Routes 1H & 1S with Systematic Capability (SC3), the FS-N series proximity switches are also suitable for safety related systems performing safety functions up to and including SIL 2 with HFT=0 (1oo1) and SIL 3 with HFT =1 (1oo2).
