FS-J-D Series overview
With an operating temperature range of +400°F / 204°C, the FS-J-D Series Proximity Switch (5/8" UNF Threads) is specifically designed for demanding Zone 0 applications.
The magnetic sensing technology in these switches detects ferrous materials, such as carbon steel or stainless steel (17/4 and 400 series), at a range up to 2.3 mm (0.09"). DPCO/DPDT (2x Form C) contacts are standard, ensuring versatile performance and adaptability.

As an element/subsystem, the FS-J-D Series is designed to meet IEC 61508:2010 Routes 1H & 1S, achieving Systematic Capability (SC3). These proximity switches can be integrated with safety-related systems implementing critical safety functions that comply with SIL 2 (HFT=0, 1oo1 architecture) and SIL 3 (HFT=1, 1oo2 architecture). These features make them ideal for high-temperature, high-risk environments that require exceptional reliability and safety.
