FS-J Series overview
The FS-J Series Proximity Switch (5/8" UNF Thread) is designed for high-temperature environments of upto +400°F / 204°C and is certified to meet stringent safety and operational standards, such as IECEx and UL certifications, which ensure reliable performance in hazardous environments.
These switches use strong magnetic technology to detect ferrous materials, such as carbon steel or stainless steel (17/4 or 400 series), at distances of up to 2.5mm (0.1"). As standard, they have volt-free SPCO/SPDT (Form C) contacts for dependable signaling.

In order to maximize installation in compact spaces, the FS-J series features an optional side-exiting lead configuration that reduces switch length. These switches comply with IEC 61508:2010 Routes 1H & 1S with Systematic Capability (SC3) as an element/subsystem. Safety-related systems can use them up to SIL 2 with SIL 2 with HFT=0 (1oo1) and SIL 3 with HFT=1 (1oo2), making them ideal for applications requiring rigorous safety integrity and reliability in high-temperature and hazardous environments.
