Mechanical Limit Switch - ATEX Ex d/db/tb, IECEx Ex d/db/tb, UKEx Ex d/db/tb Grps IIC / IIIC T6 Gold Contacts

This mechanical limit switch has a 316L Stainless Steel housing. It is designed to work reliably in very arduous and harsh conditions, including Explosion Proof Ex d and UL/CSA Class I Div 1 areas, where detection of a target via a mechanical plunger is required. In presence of the target, the plunger assembly magnetically activates the mechanical switch which is housed within a completely separate chamber. The actuating force, travel and plunger geometry can be customised to suit particular applications.

The limit switch has volt free, silver-palladium contacts, and is capable of switching up to 4A at AC or DC voltages from 6V up to 240V, and is reliable through millions of operations. Available in either SPCO/SPDT (Form C) or DPCO/DPDT (2 x Form C) contact forms.

Suitable for use in the design of safety functions up to SIL3, these proximity switches meet the requirements of IEC 61508:2010 Routes 1H & 1S with Systematic Capability (SC3) as an element/subsystem suitable for use in safety related systems performing safety functions up to and including SIL 3 with HFT =1 (1oo2).
