Die Näherungsschalter der Serie ES-2 sind äußerst anpassungsfähig und können in einer Vielzahl von Anwendungen eingesetzt werden, bei denen ein zuverlässiges Signal erforderlich ist. Dank seiner einzigartigen Konstruktion kann er in einigen der extremsten Umgebungen von -60°C (-76F) bis 175°C (347°F) eingesetzt werden.
A multitude of contact forms are available including changeover types SPCO/SPDT, DPCO/DPDT and 2-wire types Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC). A version incorporating line fault detection/monitoring is available with NAMUR output. Variants with Gold flashed contacts are also available for switching low currents. The ES-2 series offers versatility and applicability and multi-voltage flexibility by being able to switch either DC or AC at up to 240V.
The switch is designed to be mounted using the two fixing screws provided and is available hardwired with a range of cable and lead types to suit the application. The standard electrical conduit connection is PG9.
The presence of an external magnetic actuator is required for operation. Designed to sense at the top or side of the switch. Sensing ranges are dependent on the magnetic actuators used.
Euroswitch products are also available with multi-approvals including combinations of the following global and regional certification standards. The ES-2 Series is covered by the following hazardous area certifications.

Die Näherungsschalter der Serie ES-2 erfüllen die Anforderungen der IEC 61508:2010 Routes 1H & 1S mit Systematic Capability (SC3) als Element/Subsystem und eignen sich für den Einsatz in sicherheitsbezogenen Systemen, die Sicherheitsfunktionen bis einschließlich SIL 2 mit HFT=0 (1oo1) und SIL 3 mit HFT =1 (1oo2) ausführen.
