For demanding and hazardous environments in which reliable signal detection is critical, the FS-CYL-C Series Proximity Switch with Flange with Probe is specifically engineered with Ex d protection for Zones 1/21 or 2/22.

With their proven magnetic sensing technology, these switches detect ferrous materials like carbon steel or stainless steel (17/4 or 400 series) at distances up to 2.5mm (0.1"), making them ideal for harsh environments.

With its volt-free SPCO / SPDT (Form C) contacts, the FS-CYL-C Series can be configured as normally open or normally closed, providing operational flexibility in safety-critical environments. The switches' adaptability makes them well-suited to hazardous areas where precision and dependability are essential.

With an innovative integrated junction box/connection head, the FS-CYL-C Series offers multiple configuration options: hardwired or wireable (W, WL, WLR). In confined or hazardous spaces, this design eliminates the need for additional components, simplifying installation.

Engineered to meet the strict requirements of IEC 61508:2010 (Routes 1H & 1S) with Systematic Capability (SC3), the FS-CYL-C Series proximity switches are certified for use in safety-related systems. They support safety functions up to SIL 2 with HFT=0 (1oo1) and SIL 3 with HFT=1 (1oo2), ensuring reliability and compliance in critical applications within hazardous zones.
