The ES-5 Series Proximity Switch is highly adaptable and can be used in a multitude of applications where a reliable signal is required. Its unique construction allows it to be used in some of the most extreme environments from -60°C (-76F) to 175°C (347°F).

A multitude of contact forms are available including changeover types SPCO/SPDT, DPCO/DPDT and 2-wire types Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC). A version incorporating line fault detection/monitoring is available with NAMUR output.  Variants with Gold flashed contacts are also available for switching low currents. The ES-5 series offers versatility and applicability and multi-voltage flexibility by being able to switch either DC or AC at up to 240V.

The mounting thread is 5/8″-18 UNF and is available either hardwired or with one of three wireable options (W, WL, WLR) which utilise our pioneering integrated junction box/connection head design. Euroswitch wireable proximity switches alleviate add on components and allow installation where space is at a premium.

The standard electrical conduit connection is 1/2″-14 NPT with an M20x1.5 metric option also available.

The presence of an external magnetic actuator is required for operation. Designed for end sensing. Sensing ranges are dependent on the magnetic actuators used.

The ES-5 series proximity switches meet the requirements of IEC 61508:2010 Routes 1H & 1S with Systematic Capability (SC3) as an element/subsystem, and are suitable for use in safety related systems performing safety functions up to and including SIL 2 with HFT=0 (1oo1) and SIL 3 with HFT =1 (1oo2).
